non service connected veteran disability pension. the army discharge characterization of "unconfirmed", pertaining to my service from august 8th to december 14th, 1990, is in reference to how i was army active duty two separate times, with a break in between, still being in the army. i first enlisted in the army reserve. i went to basic training and my first AIT (Advanced Individual Training) school (67V/OH-58 helicopter repair), being in the army reserves. then i signed up a second time, while being the the reserves, to go regular army active duty (not reserves) with a different job (71D/legal specialist). i went to a second AIT (Advanced Individual Training) school.
